RETURN POLICY

Thank you for your purchase. We hope you are happy with your purchase. However, if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return it to us for a refund or an exchange. Please see below for more information on our return policy.

RETURNS

All returns must be postmarked within thirty (30) days of the purchase date. All returned items must be in new and unused condition, with all original tags and labels attached.

RETURN PROCESS

To return an item, please email customer service at info@bavco.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. After receiving an RMA number, place the item securely in its original packaging.

Customers must include the item being returned, proof of purchase (original invoice or order number), and the BAVCO-issued Return Authorization form. Items must be returned in the original manufacturer packaging with all parts, components, accessories, and documentation intact. Incomplete returns or missing documentation may result in processing delays or denial of credit. All returned products are subject to inspection upon receipt, with customers notified of the outcome within 3–7 business days. Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer; however, BAVCO will cover return freight in cases where the return is the result of our error, such as an incorrect or defective shipment.

Please note, you will be responsible for all return shipping charges. We strongly recommend that you use a trackable method to mail your return.

REFUNDS

After receiving your return and inspecting the condition of your item, we will process your return or exchange. Please allow at least seven (7) days from the receipt of your item to process your return or exchange.

EXCEPTIONS

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Installed or Used Products — Any backflow preventer, valve, or fitting that has been installed, tested, or put into service; products showing signs of use, modification, or field alteration.
  • Special/Custom Orders — Non-stock or special-order backflow assemblies (specific sizes, configurations, or materials); custom-fabricated components or assemblies built to spec; products ordered in non-standard configurations.
  • Electrical & Testing Equipment — Opened or used differential pressure gauges or test kits; electronic test equipment once calibrated or used in the field.
  • Perishable / Limited Shelf-Life Items — O-rings, rubber seats, and soft goods kits that have been opened; repair kits and internal parts once the packaging seal is broken.
  • Non-Returnable by Manufacturer — Items the manufacturer themselves won't accept back; products discontinued by the manufacturer.
  • Damaged or Incomplete Returns — Products returned without original packaging, tags, or documentation; items that arrive back damaged due to improper return shipping.
  • Time-Lapsed Returns — Anything past the return window (30 days); seasonal or project-specific stock held beyond the agreed return period.
  • Hazardous or Contaminated Materials — Any assembly that has been exposed to contaminated water systems; products from chemical or industrial process lines.

Please Note

  • A 15% restocking fee will be charged for all returns.
  • Warranty Returns — Manufacturer warranty claims handled separately from standard returns.
  • Right to Refuse — BAVCO reserves the right to refuse returns that do not comply with the return policy requirements or that arrive without sufficient identifying information.
  • Policy Updates — BAVCO reserves the right to modify this policy at any time; continued purchases constitute acceptance.
  • Abuse / Excessive Returns — Accounts with a pattern of excessive returns may have return privileges reviewed or restricted.
  • Additional Fees — A standard restocking fee of 15% applies to all approved returns. However, restocking fees/charges may vary depending on the item or product category, including cases where a manufacturer imposes its own restocking fee, which will be passed through to the customer. The applicable restocking fee will be communicated to the customer at the time of RMA approval. All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) or written acknowledgement from a BAVCO staff member prior to shipping any item back. Returns received without prior authorization will be refused and returned to sender at the customer's expense.
